Following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon, Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Crossville woman for felony manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of meth.
Tonia Ellen Ann Turner, age 24, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at the Dollar Tree on Interstate Drive. During a search, deputies turned up a change purse stuffed into the woman’s pants.
According to the police report, the change purse contained four small plastic bags and two syringes. One syringe contained a brownish-yellow liquid; two of the bags contained a combined 0.6 grams of a white crystal substance. The syringe and the bags field tested positive for meth.
Turner was arrested and placed under $10,000 bond. She’s scheduled to appear in court October 29.
