The response to Tuesday’s tornado has caused the shelves at Cookeville’s Lowes store to become bare in some aisles.
Store Manager Jamie Fisher said the company has a plan in place in case of inventory shortages.
“We have a command center that our corporate office sources different product out of locations to this area,” Fisher said. “So, lots of chainsaws, generators, things like that. Initially, though, with the storm damage, what we’re kind of seeing is it’s a lot of cleanup currently. So, a lot of things like rakes, shovels, brooms, trash bags, that kind of stuff, and we have plenty of that on hand just trying to get everybody taken care of.”
In addition, Lowes has buckets filled with supplies they are giving away to the community to aid with the recovery effort.
