The Livingston Police Department’s annual National Night Out will take over the new Livingston Central Park Tuesday.
Chief Greg Etheredge said the fun begins at 6 p.m.
Food will be provided by the police department, demonstrations and information will be available too.
“The police department started National Night Out I think about 5 to 6 years ago, over the years it’s grown, we’ll typically have anywhere from 600 to 700 people show up,” Etheredge said.
Etheredge said a new location means new things added to the event. This year, there’s live music and a carousel.
“We wanted to do something for the young people and for the community as a whole and what better way to do it than to have a meal, door prizes, and just a nice evening of entertainment and learn something in the process, there’s a lot of information to be given away and I’m really proud of the program,” Etheredge said.
National Night Out is also sponsored by the Livingston-Overton Chamber of Commerce and Livingston Central Park.
