Livingston’s new Central park officially opened today.
The $1.1 million park paid for with a plethora of grants and came at no cost to tax payers.
The grants include a courthouse enhancement grant, a Project Diabetes grant, Tennessee Department of Tourism grant, and a Tennessee Department of Agriculture grant.
“The stars just lined up with us because we got 100 percent of this funded by grant money,” Hayes said. “We are not hitting the taxpayers with one penny and the city treasury is not getting touched.”
The park includes an outdoor stage, splash pad, and playground facility.
