Livingston Students Will Bring New Life to Overton County History

Overton County Historical Society President Pam Looper said Livingston Academy history students have recently attended their meetings. She said AP History teacher Nate Kennard had helped make the connection.

“We need that continuity within the society that there will always be new and upcoming and fresh eyes and fresh histories presented and someone to carry on,” Looper said.

Looper said the society was interested in adapting a program from Livingston Academy. She said students had dressed up as different historical characters and provided oral histories.

She said the Historical Society would like to develop this live historical character theme further using scenes within Overton Museum this fall.
