Livingston Regional Hospital is taking measures to prevent COVID 19 in their facility.
Physician’s Services Director David Cox said the hospital is making precautions to respond if someone is infected with the virus.
“Livingston Regional Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality care in ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, providers, volunteers, and visitors. We are continuing to work closely with state and local health departments and following guidance from the CDC to ensure our hospital is prepared,” Cox said.
Hospital officials are currently reviewing an emergency operations plan and completing a cautionary check list. Cox said LRH continues to screen patient’s travel history, provide face and eye protection, and hand hygiene products.
“We want to ensure our community that our providers and clinical teams are well trained and prepared to manage outbreaks of viruses and infectious diseases, including the coronavirus,” Cox said.
Antibacterial supplies have decreased for residents. Cox said LRH has not experienced any shortages.
