Livingston Missing Teen Found Friday

Livingston Investigators working with Metro Nashville Police located 16-year-old Christy Fabiola Corrales Friday Afternoon.

Livingston Police Department Lieutenant Joshua Smith said Corrales was found around noon on Friday. Corrales had previously gone missing on August 29th and was last seen at the Livingston ballpark area. Smith said Corrales had runaway and the cause of her disappearance is still being investigated.

“It’s still preliminary and all that,” Smith said. “The Department of Child Services Absconders Unit will probably be taking that part of the investigation over. We will assist them in any way. They have been really good about helping us and along with Metro Nashville. This is not the first time that we have ended up having to call Metro to assist us in finding missing juveniles that turned up in Nashville.”

Smith said this is not the first time Corrales has runaway and found close to the same location she was found before. Smith said the report they received stated Corrales is in good condition.

When the missing report went out many Livingston residents were concerned about why an AMBER alert had not been released. Smith said they filed a report to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation but the case did not qualify for an AMBER alert.

“There is a certain criteria that has to be hit in order for an AMBER alert to come out,” Smith said. “I don’t know if she fit in every little box in that criteria for it to be an AMBER alert because I think she was classified as a runaway, so I think that took her out of the AMBER alert classification.”

Smith praised the Livingston Police Department along with Metro Nashville Police and DCS for the collective effort to locate Corrales.
