Livingston Police continue the investigation into a Sunday morning shooting that sent a Livingston man to the hospital.
The incident happened around 1:20am Sunday morning as police and EMS responded to Fairview Lane. Police found Chris Melton with gunshot wounds. According to the investigation, Melton had gone to the home of Robert Richardson “to start an altercation.”
According to the investigation, Richardson shot Melton in the midst of that argument.
Emergency personnel treated Melton at the scene, before transferring him to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Livingston Police Detectives continue to work the case.
