Livingston has closed its city hall indefinitely after multiple city employees have tested positive for COVID.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said the drive-thru will remain open during normal business hours, and bills can be paid online or via phone.
“Hopefully, we can get back to normal,” Hayes said. “If not and our numbers continue to rise, I believe us community leaders will have to put our heads together to see what else we can do to take the necessary steps to keep everyone in Overton County safe.”
Hayes said all city departments will operate half-staffed except for public safety employees. The city hall drive thru will have extended hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from November 10th to the 20th.
“We encourage everyone to wear a face covering,” Hayes said. “Whether they are at work, or whether they are out in the public. We feel that if folks will wear face coverings, wash their hands and do the things that the CDC is saying that we need to do. Social distancing is a must.”
