Livingston officials will meet next week to set up rules and regulations for future retail package stores.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said after the August 21st meeting he hopes to begin accepting applications for potential stores by mid September or early October.
Livingston voters narrowly approved a referendum in June that allows retail package stores to locate within city limits.
Supporters of the referendum said it would help generate tax revenue for the city and schools. However, it also faced heavy opposition, specifically from area religious organizations.
