Living Hope Church Taking Donations For Harvey Victims

Cookeville’s Living Hope Church is just one of many area groups seeking to help out the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Living Hope Church Staff Director Kristen Miller said the church is currently accepting certain items to donate to churches and a local pregnancy center in the Houston Texas area.

“They have given us a list of things that they specifically need,” Miller said. ” Top on the list is baby supplies. They’re desperately needing diapers, wipes, baby bottles, formula and baby food.”

Blankets, pillows, socks, underwear, non-perishable food items, bottled water, toiletry items and pet food are also being accepted.

Those items can be dropped off a Living Hope Church until Sunday.

The church is also accepting donations during tonight’s service at 6:30 p.m and Sunday’s service at 10:30 a.m.

“We would just love for anyone in the community to support this,” Miller said. “We want the people in Houston to know that they are not alone and that Cookeville is a community of givers and we just want to bless them.”

Sunday evening the church will load up a vehicle and drive it down to Movement Church in Madison Alabama. Movement Church will be driving the donations down to the Houston area.
