Live In Livingston is returning to Central Park this Saturday with Jake Hoot.
Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shannon Cantrell said anticipation was building for the event’s return. Cantrell said planning has gone on for weeks because of Jake Hoot’s popularity in the area.
“We are so excited to bring Live In Livingston back to everyone,” Cantrell said. “I feel like we’ve got a good lineup and I feel like everybody’s really going to enjoy themselves and be able to get out and have a great time.”
Cantrell said that Livingston’s Downtown Revitalization Committee is a big part of making this a free event. However, she said the event’s options expanded because of growing community partnerships.
“This year we were able to pull in a few bigger named artists because of the help from Life Church and Swallows Insurance,” Cantrell said. “They donated some money to us as well so that we could make this event as great as it could be.”
Cantrell said they are anticipating a large turnout based on the traction the event is getting on social media. She said that interest is expected to continue as the Live In Livingston series continues over the summer.
“August 21 we will have Stacy Mitchhart, he is an awesome blues singer, if you likes blues music you need to get online and check Stacy Mitchhart out, he is awesome,” Cantrell said. “Then on August 29 we have Aaron Tippin and if you know country, you know Aaron Tippin right?”
Cantrell said that event parking will be labeled and clearly visible when people come to attend at 5:30. Cantrell said there will be food vendors on site for the evening of music in Livingston.
