Live In Livingston Bringing Back Stacy Mitchhart, Tippin Time Changed

Live In Livingston is back Saturday with blues guitarist Stacy Mitchhart.

The show starts at 5:30 in Livingston’s Central Park. Mayor Curtis Hayes said the invite is open to blues fans around the region because this is a show they will not want to miss.

“What entertainment he can bring and will bring,” Hayes said. “He will be performing with about four or five guitars. The last time he got out in the crowd and mixed it up a little bit. He’s just a crowd favorite and we’ve got him for the second time around.”

Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shannon Cantrell said there was a turnout of roughly 800 people for the first concert. She said crowds like that should take some time to see what Livingston has to offer downtown.

“Come out early and maybe even stay a little late,” Cantrell said. “Come and enjoy the Livingston downtown square, have lunch before the concert, shop on our square and other retail in our community. Then after the show, go to one of our local restaurants and have dinner before you go home.”

There have been some changes for the next Live in Livingston show featuring Aaron Tippin. That concert has been moved up to 2:30 PM on August 29.

Hayes said it will make for a nice Sunday afternoon in Livingston.

“It will just be a great time after church to come and if you want to bring your own lunch and your lawn chair and sit and listen to some great music,” Hayes said. “This will be a good opportunity, and also my good friend and many of you know Mr. Tommy Lee will be opening up for Aaron Tippin.”

Cantrell said that everyone should know that the concerts will go on rain or shine.
