Lineman With Cookeville Electric Injured Friday Morning

A Cookeville Electric Department lineman suffered injuries this morning while performing maintenance work.

Cookeville Electric Department Director Tony Peek said the accident occurred near the intersection of Jackson and Walnut
when an arc flash occurred. The employee has been transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Power was temporarily disrupted but all service is restored at this time.
