Life Church Donates Over $100 K Collected From Easter Services

Three local non-profits each received a $35,000 donation from Cookeville’s Life Church Friday.

The contribution comes from the collection at the Easter Services that Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson spoke at. Associate Pastor Bob Sotis said over 10,000 people attended over the two days.

“I got to bless Cookeville Rescue Mission and Tammy over there at Mustard Seed Ranch and they cried,” Sotis said. “It was a good thing. Money follows ministry and a lot of times in situations like this God will bless us.”

Sotis said the non-profit Convoy for Hope also benefited from the donations. Sotis said the money will be used to help continue the missions of the groups. Sotis said overall, he considered the Easter services a success.

“It was just awesome,” Sotis said. “We had little baskets for the kids to take home, so any children got a gift set for Easter. Everybody got a gift. Everybody was blessed. We are already talking about next year.”
