Life Church has donated a $35,000 building to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, the new building will be located adjacent to the sheriff’s office and be used for worship services, GED programs, and alcohol and drug treatment services.
For several years, Life Church has been providing DVDs of worship services to the inmates at the Clay County Jail. Those services would be watched in a small hallway inside the jail, but with more than half of the inmates now attending those services, there was a need for more space.
Sheriff Brandon Boone said Life Church realized the need for the additional space and pulled together the funding for the building.
