Western Kentucky released Upperman Basketball standout Akira Levy from her basketball commitment Wednesday.
Hilltoppers Head Coach Michelle Clark-Heard left to take the Cincinnati job earlier this week. Levy said she wanted to explore all her options going forward.
Levy averaged 25.3 points and 9.4 assists this season as the Lady Bees won a second consecutive state 2A championship. She was the top-rated recruit in the Hilltoppers’ class.
Levy announced her commitment to Western Kentucky last February on social media.
Levy cannot sign with another school officially until the signing period opens April 11. She can be in contact with other schools.
