Illinois authorities have arrested a Lebanon man wanted for robbing and assaulting a Carthage City Councilman earlier this year.
40-year-old Booker T. Spence is facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated robbery. Carthage Police officials report that Spence robbed and assaulted Councilman Phillip Brooks at this home in January. He allegedly punched Brooks in the face and took $840 from his wallet before fleeing the scene.
Brooks received treatment at Vanderbilt Medical Center following the incident.
