Last Day To Register For UCDD Restaurant Recovery Program

The deadline for the Upper Cumberland Development District Restaurant Recovery Programs approaches Wednesday.

This four week virtual course is designed to inform restaurant owners on how to recover from the pandemic. Small Business Center Director Tyler Asher said the courses are set to begin Tuesday.

“They go over the ins and outs on how to be successful in the restaurant business through COVID,” Asher said. “All the CDC guidelines. It is just a great course. It is open to any restaurant or food and beverage industry in the Upper Cumberland.”

Asher said groups meet twice a week to cover material. Owners can also take advantage of one-on-one sessions to discuss specific business needs. Asher said only four spots remain, so apply at TheBizFoundry.org/recovery.

“It is completely free,” Asher said. “It does not cost the business owner anything except their time.”

Some focuses of the classes are marketing, branding, leadership, business strategies, menus and risk management. The workshops are made possible through Proof, a Chattanooga food and beverage incubator business.

The Biz Foundry, Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and CityScape are also contributing.
