Most homes in Dekalb and Warren Counties served by Caney Fork Electric will have power restored by 8pm Tuesday.
That’s according to Caney Fork Electric General Manager Bill Rogers. Rogers said some isolated homes in both counties may be unable to receive power.
Despite the rainy weather and cold Tuesday, Rogers said the utility made significant progress in White County. As of 6pm Tuesday, Rogers said he estimates somewhere around 1250 homes may still be without electricity. The majority of the outages are in the Oakdale Subdivision and the Doyle area.
“The infrastructure in these areas is heavily damaged and will take additional efforts to make the needed repairs,” Rogers said.
Rogers said he appreciated the patience of local residents in getting power restored.
Volunteer Energy reports less than 110 total outages in eastern White and Cumberland Counties Tuesday night. The main outage area remains right along the White County line.
