The THP released the identities of a couple found in a DeKalb County lake Monday.
THP Lt. Jimmy Neal said Lendon Welch, 84, and his wife Charlotte, 83, had drowned when EMS arrived on scene. Neal said the Welches are from Knoxville.
The couple appeared to have been floating their boat on the lake. Their pickup truck was recovered from the lake with the boat still attached. The truck’s transmission was in reverse.
