Jamestown’s new Taco Bell location on North Main Street is now open.
The building replaced a vacant Hardee’s restaurant built over thirty years ago. City Building Inspector Earl Sweat said since opening, people now have a reason to visit the north end of town.
“It is actually making people drive out in that direction now,” Sweat said. “Towards the north end of the city, there was not that much traffic until Taco Bell came in a few weeks ago.”
Sweat said the contractor barely missed the goal of opening on July 27th. Currently, the Taco Bell is serving drive-thru only. Capital Ground Construction was the general contractor for the project.
