The Jamestown Rotary Club selling its newest Christmas Ornament as a fundraiser for programs.
Secretary Kara Brannon said the sixth ornament in the series features the Ye Ole Jail Museum. The building once served as a county jail in the 1900’s and now holds a museum and the Chamber of Commerce.
“We just try to pick something historical in the county to kind of preserve those memories of the older buildings,” Brannon said. “We have a committee, and we have some input from the residents of the county.”
Brannon said the $20 metal ornament helps fund community efforts such as local scholarships to high school students. Brannon said the ornament collection has became a tradition for several families and serves as a good Christmas present.
Brannon said you can order an ornament by visiting the Jamestown TN Rotary Facebook page. You can also call (931) 704-0475. Brannon said the club has a select supply of previous ornaments available as well.
