A Fentress County Jury has convicted a Jamestown man on charges of incest and rape of a child.
District Attorney General Jared Effler said Ronnie Lee Clayborn will learn his punishment next month.
“We are pleased with the verdicts in this case and believe they are consistent with the facts presented to the jury and applicable law,” District Attorney General Jared Effler said.
Fentress County Sheriff’s Office detective Jason Duncan investigated and prosecuted the case. Effler said Hollye Gallion, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Our Kids Center of Metro Nashville Hospital, testified as an expert witness during the trial.
“This case highlights the importance of law enforcement, children’s centers, and the prosecution all working together in the investigation and prosecution of child sex abuse cases,” Effler said. “I am extremely grateful for everyone who contributed to this successful outcome.”
Following the two-day trial, Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton revoked Clayborn’s bond. His sentencing hearing will take place February 18.
