Jackson County Reschedules Public Meeting For Parks and Rec

Jackson County will hold a public meeting to discuss its proposed long-range parks and recreation master plan.

The purpose of the session is to explain the goals and objectives of the master plan. It will also provide for community input on the vision to enhance and expand outdoor recreation and facilities over the next 20 years.

Mayor Randy Heady said it is an important meeting for the future of Jackson County.

Heady said the meeting will have a presentation, followed by group discussion about the opportunities and limitations affecting existing and future parks. The meeting will be both in-person and broadcast on Facebook Live.

The public meeting is Tuesday at the Gainesboro Courthouse. It starts at 5:30 PM and will last until 7:00 PM.
