Following a long battle with lung cancer, Jackson County Mayor Bobby Kinnaird passed away Thursday night.
Kinnaird died on his 66th birthday. He will be cremated and no services are planned.
Kinnaird won election to the county mayor’s seat in 2010, winning election by 80 votes.
Born in Laurel MS, Kinnaird served in the National Guard.
