Jackson County Chamber of Commerce announced it will not stage the American Made Music Fest this year.
The country concert hosted by Dailey and Vincent was first held in 2021. Chamber Director Hope Vargas said unfortunately, they were unable to come up with a sustainable plan this year.
“It was just difficult,” Vargas said. “It was just a whole lot that goes into such a large festival. What it takes to create it, the time it took to organize everything, the amount of money it took.”
Vargas said although it will not work out this year, they are proud of what they have been able to accomplish the past two years. She said it has been amazing seeing all of the support from the community, the vendors, and the visitors to the county.
Vargas said they may explore other avenues for smaller-scale music events in addition to the ones already planned in Jackson County. She said they hope to potentially revisit conversations about hosting the American Made Music Festival in the future.
“We were so proud to have brought such a fun event to our area and it’s really incredible that we were able to have and host this event in Jackson County at such a large scale,” Vargas said. “It’s really a bummer, but ultimately we had to make the right decision for the organization and all those involved. We are really sad that it’s not going to be able to continue on this year. There are definitely some hopes and dreams of possibly something happening with that in the future, but as far as we know, unfortunately, it will not be back this year.”
