The first two cases of COVID-19 reported in Jackson County Thursday, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.
That brings the COVID-19 total across the Upper Cumberland to 70. No deaths have been reported in the region. The total number of people tested across the Upper Cumberland stands at 890, putting the positive test rate at just under eight percent of all tests.
COVID-19 case total increased to 37 cases in Putnam County Thursday with 16 in Cumberland County. Dekalb County stands at 5. Smith County has 3 confirmed cases. Jackson, Overton and White County cases stand at 2 each. Clay, Fentress and Warren remain at 1 each.
Some 2.845 people have tested positive statewide with more than 34,000 people tested. 665 of the positive tests are among people 21-30.
The Tennessee death toll stands at 32.
