Jackson Co. Power Outage Improvements A Mixed Bag

Jackson County saw a mixed bag of improvements for power outages Thursday.

While some power was restored, electric crews lost ground this morning and afternoon. Mayor Randy Heady said he understands the frustrations residents are going through.

“They are aware,” Heady said. “I wanted to mention this, because I know if I was you that I would feel the same way. That you try to call in, you can’t get through. It is very frustrating, and the email doesn’t seem to work as good, and understand that. I really do.”

Heady said a few new power outages were reported Thursday. Those are the areas of Stone Community, Flynns Creek Road, Flatt Dyer Road and Rush Fork Road. Heady said multiple outages still remain for the Nameless community.

“We are really putting forth the best effort that we can at this time,” Heady said. “I just appreciate you being as patient as you can be. Right now, frustration for those who have been without power for four days is really ratcheting up. I completely understand that. Being without power is not a good thing.”
