Hometown Heroes – Jeffrey Powers

This week’s Hometown Hero is Jeffrey Powers. Jeffrey was nominated by Lori Varney for being an outstanding and helpful neighbor. Here’s what Lori has to say about Jeffrey:

Jeff is one of my neighbors and has become one of the best friends I have ever met Jeff works a full time job and has a family of his own, but he seems to always fine time to help me out. When I lost my home, he came and help me create a place for me to live. Last winter I lost all my water pipes and once again he came to my rescue. He tore out all the walls and replaced all the pipes. He refuses to be paid and always says ” That’s what neighbors do.” He is a wonderful person and I wanted you to know about him. He has done many more things for a lot of people up here on this mountain and always for nothing more than a thank you, a hand shake, or a hug. He is a Hometown Hero. Thank you!
