Displaced residents looking for short term housing have 204 options in the Putnam County market.
There is a good supply of residential units available, but the price might not be right
Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors President Kathy Dunn said affordability may be an issue.
“It’s going to be tight,” Dunn said. “There’s no doubt about it. We’ll pull together and make it work for everyone, but there’s no doubt about it. It’s going to be tight.”
Dunn said the median cost of a home is $279,000
Sixteen of the 204 homes are $150,000 or less with 71 ranging from $150,000 to $250,000.
The Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors plans to host a free legal aid clinic Saturday at the Justice Center from 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. Home owners will receive free appraisals, legal guidance and paperwork to enter the Realtor Relief Fund to recieve up to $1,000 per household.
