A Crossville man driving without a license faces charges after a Monday night accident along Genesis Road.
34-year-old Timothy Robert Henson charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report, and driving without a license. According to police, Henson’s 1997 Jeep Cherokee hit a woman’s car who had stopped to make a turn from Village Lane onto Genesis Road.
After the accident, the woman said Torres stopped briefly but never got out of the car. According to reports, Torres kept driving down Village Lane, looped around and exited back on Genesis Road. Police found amber and clear lens remnants in the road.
When police located Torres’ vehicle at a local apartment complex, the vehicle’s damage matched.
Henson refused to speak to police without a lawyer present. Officers said he smelled of alcohol, but due to the time that passed, did not charge him with drinking offenses.
