DeKalb County Tigers eliminated Macon County, fall short against Cannon County.
Every week on The High School Playbook, we break down high school games from around the Upper Cumberland. The White County Warriorettes are in the District Tournament Championship after knocking off Stone Memorial in overtime. Gracie Dodgen sent the game to overtime with her leaning three-pointer that she banked in as time expired, punctuating a fantastic stretch of games for her, as she scored a team-high 18 points in the win. The York Institute Dragons have taken massive steps in overall improvement as a team this season, despite their lack of depth, boasting one of the best top-to-bottom starting lineups in the Upper Cumberland, and each player was rewarded with all-district honors. The DeKalb County Tigers played spoiler in the District Tournament, as they eliminated Macon County and were within a single possession of knocking off Cannon County. Hear from their head coaches and more as we talk Upper Cumberland high school basketball on this week’s High School Playbook.
