Those who haven’t received a flu shot yet have a chance to get one later this week.
Health departments statewide will be hosting Flu Shot Friday clinics as seasonal influenza remains widespread across the Volunteer State.
“Our message right now is that it’s not too late,” Putnam County Health Department Director Lisa Bumbalough said. “We can expect several more weeks of the seasonal flu to be circulating and we know that vaccination is still the best protection against the illness right now.
Health departments across the Upper Cumberland will be offering flu shots free of charge while supplies last on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
