Hale Appointed To Vacant BOE Seat

The Cumberland County Commission on Tuesday appointed a retired educator to the vacant board of education seat.

Anita Hale replaces Josh Stone, who resigned last month after moving out of the 4th District.

Hale taught for 28 years at North Cumberland Elementary and retired from teaching four years ago.

She will serve the remainder of Stone’s term, which expires in August 2020.
