A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Tuesday afternoon for the new inn, restaurant, and conference center at Fall Creek Falls State Park.
State officials expect the 98,000 square foot replacement facility to be completed by 2020. The demolition of the old inn began in August 2018 and was completed in December.
State officials believe the new facility will enhance visitors’ experience at the state park and serve as a catalyst for regional economic growth. In fact, officials expect the new building to generate $278,000 per year in sales and occupancy taxes – a growth of $90,000 per year compared to revenue from the previous facility.
