The Granville Country Christmas event originally scheduled for last weekend has been moved to this Saturday.
President Randall Clemons said damages from the recent severe weather caused the delay.
“We had some real strong wind last Friday night, and our power went out at 4:00 a.m. and we did not have any power until about noon on Saturday,” Clemons said. “Due to that, we had to postpone our festival.”
Clemons said the theme for this year is, “Holiday Magic.” Clemons said children will have a day full of activities such as clowns, magicians and arts and crafts.
Throughout the day, festival goers can enjoy the decorated tree tour, an antique toy show and lots of vendors for Christmas shopping. Clemons said festivities will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Clemons said the annual Christmas parade starts at 3:00 p.m.
