Governor Bill Lee will be in attendance for White County’s Freedom Celebration on Friday.
Lee will be making two other Upper Cumberland stops on Friday, including Rock Island and Smithville. White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson said it was perfect timing for a stop from the Governor on 4th of July weekend.
“It’s a great honor, we’re glad, ” Robinson said. “His office reached out to my office and said they would be interested in coming and we’re just excited and it’s quite an honor to have the governor coming to our 4th of July Celebration.”
Robinson said the governor is touring every county to celebrate Tennessee’s 225th birthday.
Robinson said that Lee will be speaking at about 5:00 PM on Friday and that gates will open at the White County Recreational Complex at 4:oo PM. He said the Freedom Celebration will have food, vendors, activities for kids and a fireworks display at dark.
