A sentencing hearing for a White County man convicted of wire fraud and money laundering is scheduled to take place today.
Jeff Gentry was supposed to be sentenced last month, but the court rescheduled the hearing for unknown reasons.
In February, Gentry’s sentencing hearing was rescheduled for April 26th due to the number of victims in the case and potential forfeiture and restitution issues that could take some time to complete.
Gentry’s case centers around his role in a $43 million ponzi-type-scheme. Federal authorities said Gentry used his Sparta-based business to bilk investors out of some 10-million dollars.
