Gas Department Investigating Odor at Cookeville High School

The Putnam County School System reports officials are investigating potential odors of gas at Cookeville High School.

Assistant Director of Schools Corby King says the Cookeville Gas Department is at the high school investigating the reports.

King reports students and staff located within the area of the odor being reported have been moved to other parts of the school for the time being.

The school system has not released an official statement regarding the report at this time. King says more information will be provided when it becomes available.
