Gainesboro Alderman’s Idea Leads To New Town Facebook Page

Gainesboro has a new official Facebook page to keep residents updated.

Alderman Ricky Head said he wanted to start an official page after some communication issues about when the city would celebrate Halloween.

Head said he sees the platform as an opportunity to share more information about city business and scheduled events in the future. Head said the city recorder administrates the city page.

Head said having communication with residents is a key part of an Alderman’s role. Head said he hopes more residents will participate in public meetings if more information is easily available.
