Fred’s Pharmacy Coming To Monterey

Work continues to make progress on a new development in Monterey.

Mayor Bill Wiggins said he now can confirm which business will be coming to town.

“They have started site excavation on the 16,000 square foot Fred’s store that’s coming to Monterey over on Stratton,” Wiggins said.

Wiggins said the Fred’s store will include a pharmacy with a drive-thru window.

The store will be located adjacent to Dairy Queen and across the Street from Volunteer Electric.

In July the town’s planning commission and board of zoning appeals gave approval for the project to move forward.
