A nine-count indictment issued Monday against a former White County Middle School teacher on accusations of sexual abuse involving minor children.
Austin Allen already in custody after an October, 2023 arrest. Additional criminal charges were filed after more victims were identified. In the indictment Monday, Allen faces four additional charges of rape of a child, two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, two counts of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means and one count of especially aggravated sexual exploitation.
Investigators with the District Attorney’s Office, the White County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Children’s Services began investigating Allen last fall. After gathering sufficient evidence, Allen was charged with three counts of rape of a child.
The results of the investigation were presented to the White County Grand Jury. If the public has any information regarding any other potential victims, they are asked to contact the Sheriffs Department or the District Attorney’s office.
