Former Tennessee Tech University President Dr. Angelo Volpe will be laid to rest Friday.
The Volpe family will receive friends at the Angelo and Jennette Volpe Library on Tennessee Tech’s campus. Visitation will be open from Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until noon funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at noon. Interment will follow at the Cookeville City Cemetery.
Volpe passed away Sunday at the age of 83-years-old. He served as university president from 1987 to 2000. Volpe was inducted into the Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
