Former Jackson Sheriff To Be Remembered

A former sheriff of Jackson County will be laid to rest Monday.

Charles Smith Ragland passed away last week at the age of 91. He served as sheriff in the 1970s. He later worked in the Gainesboro Water Department for 19 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 10am.
