Former Commissioner Copeland To Be Laid To Rest

Former Putnam County Commissioner Jim Copeland will be laid to rest Saturday morning.

Copeland died Wednesday at the age of 82. He will be buried Saturday at Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. Services will be held Saturday at 11am at Stevens Street Baptist Church.

Copeland spent over 40 years at Cumberland Container Corporation. He retired as Vice-President and General Manager. He served in music ministry and was a Sunday School teacher at several local churches.
