Former Algood Police Chief To Be Laid To Rest

Algood’s former police chief will be laid to rest Saturday.

William Floyd Cartwright, Sr. passed away last Friday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Cartwright spent much of his life in law enforcement including the term as Algood’s chief. Most recently, he worked with the Putnam County Sheriff Department.

Services for Cartwright, Sr. will be held Saturday at Crest Lawn Funeral Home beginning at 1pm.
