First Year Start Up Cost To Top 250k For SROs

The first year startup cost to fund SROs in Cumberland County will top $250,000, depending on when the officers are hired.

The Budget Committee has determined that the price for school resource officer training, vehicles, and etc. will be up to $251,887.

The committee has decided to take that money from the unassigned fund balance of the general fund.

Monday night, the county commission voted to transfer the funding.
