The first renderings of Putnam County’s new K-8 school has School Board Chair Lynn McHenry looking forward to the project.
McHenry said designs are close to completion for the Lee Seminary Road school.
“The architect has done a great job so far, and some of the first views that we have seen have been really good,” McHenry said. “He’s been able to fit it on the property very well, so we are looking forward to moving forward with it.”
Tonight, the Putnam County School Board will consider two items for the next steps for the project. McHenry said members will form a committee to name the school, mascot and colors.
McHenry said the board will also look at the construction method to build the school. McHenry said the goal is to have the project out for bid in the spring.
