Fire Destroys Home In Cumberland Co.

A fire has destroyed a home in Cumberland County.

The county fire department responded to the blaze around 8:30 last night at a home on Lowe Road. Officials said the fire started in the basement of the home and quickly spread.

A male occupant managed to escape unharmed, but officials said the home was a total loss estimated at $80,000.
